Did you know that enrolled students can fully complete the process of establishing accommodations at UMass Amherst before you even arrive on campus?
If you’re a student seeking academic or housing accommodations at UMass Amherst, you must register with Disability Services and participate in our accommodation determination process. Meeting with an Access Coordinator is an important part of this interactive process and it can be done remotely!
Our office is open all summer, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm (except for federal holidays). Once your registration form has been processed by our office (make sure to check your Spam folder of your UMass email for our email after you register!) you can use our Clockwork system to schedule an appointment with an Access Coordinator. That meeting can take place by phone, over Zoom, or in person in 435 Goodell Hall.
As early as July, we may begin to have wait times as long as 2-4 weeks to meet with an Access Coordinator. To avoid any delays in being able to obtain and use accommodations, we encourage you to submit your documentation and meet with an Access Coordinator as early as possible. This is especially true for accommodations that require significant lead time to implement.
New students should schedule a Welcome Meeting with any available Access Coordinator, choosing your preferred meeting format from the drop-down menu. Students who already have accommodations but want to request additional accommodations or supports for the upcoming academic year should schedule a Check-In Meeting with your assigned Access Coordinator
Be prepared to put your best foot forward in Fall 2025 by meeting with an Access Coordinator soon. Disability Services will be in touch with you again once the Fall semester starts to make sure you have everything you need for equal access once classes start.

When scheduling an appointment in Clockwork, begin by choosing the meeting type and format from the drop-down menu. Students who are newly registered and meeting with an Access Coordinator for the first time should choose a Welcome Meeting (1st Appt) in the desired meeting format --- Zoom, In Person, or Phone. Available appointments will show in blue, in the column for each available Access Coordinator.
Students with existing accommodations who would like to request additional accommodations should choose a Check-In Appointment with their assigned Access Coordinator.
