Nathan Chan Co-Authors New Paper on Preheating Prosocial Behavior

Nathan W. Chan, resource economics, has co-authored a paper in The Economic Journal, suggesting that, "affective states influencing giving, in addition to reward-seeking, utility-maximizing behavior that has been documented in other contexts." As Chan notes, understanding motives for charitable giving illuminates the science of prosocial behavior as well as implications for policy and management.
