Christian Rojas Co-authors Paper on Bridging the Digital Divide
Content
Christian Rojas, resource economics, recently co-authored a paper with former PhD candidate Agusto Espín, '21MA. "Bridging the Digital Divide in the US," featured in the March 2024 edition of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, explores two pathways to increasing broadband access to low-income households in the US. Rojas and Espín found that affordability policies, such as subsidies, could have a larger impact on increasing broadband access than policies focused on increasing infrastructure. This study has been selected by the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics (EARIE) as one of the journal's highlights.
