Your gift makes a difference to SBS students!
Make a Difference for Students
The College of Social & Behavioral Sciences (SBS) is a world-class institute, and we need your help to continue offering excellent educational opportunities to the next generation. We encourage you to support SBS's endeavors to develop the new minds that want to have a positive impact on society.
Some alumni make an impact by joining Connect UMass, where they can provide mentoring to current students, give one-time feedback on their resumes, lead an informational interview to help prepare them for the job market, or offer an opportunity to shadow them on the job.
Others join us on campus for panel discussions, networking events, and in-class speaking opportunities.
Many have offered to provide students with internship opportunities, giving our students real-world experience and better preparing them for life beyond UMass.
And others contribute a financial gift, providing vital support for students in need of financial support with expenses from tuition, unpaid internships, and life-changing study abroad opportunities.
Make a Difference on Campus
Although we are constantly growing, we continually strive for improved facilities to foster a high-quality learning environment and seek out the best faculty our fields have to offer. Many alumni choose to make a gift to support endowed professorships, modern facilities, and improved technology. These gifts help keep UMass on the map as one of the best research universities in the world. Learn more about giving at UMass.
Alumni may also choose to directly support the department from which they graduated. Each SBS department has a unique set of goals or priorities that these funds will be put toward.
Nearly 9,000 companies around the world participate in a matching-gift program, which will multiply the size of your contribution. Check with a Human Resources representative to see if your employer offers this program.
