Statistics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers both masters of science and doctor of philosophy degrees in statistics. The MS provides you with training in statistical applications, statistical computing, and theory, preparing you for jobs in industry or government, or for moving on to a PhD in statistics or biostatistics. The PhD option provides a combination of theory and application preparing you for positions in academia, industry, or government.
