The dual master’s program in landscape architecture and regional planning at UMass Amherst will help you integrate the design and analysis of landscapes with concern for the social, political, regulatory, and economic factors that shape them.

Once you begin, you’ll work with advisors to choose elective courses to create a clearly defined area of study. You’ll also complete all the required courses from both individual programs.

When you complete your work, you’ll receive two separate degrees: a master’s in landscape architecture and a master’s in regional planning. You’ll be able to do that in one less year than it would generally take to complete both programs individually. Blending these two related fields will be valuable as you move into your career.
