The master of science in labor studies prepares you for a career in the labor movement, related social justice organizations, and academia. Through this multidisciplinary program, you’ll combine coursework, scholarly research, and practical experience to gain the skills in research, organizing, and collective bargaining and the knowledge of labor laws necessary to work in the labor movement. You’ll also gain fluency in the larger theoretical and strategic issues confronting workers today, from globalization to the struggle for gender and racial equity. Labor Center faculty are among the foremost experts in their fields and can advise students in the areas of strategic research, globalization, inequality, gender, race, right-to-work laws, and more.
