Discover the field that is shaping the technology of the future. From the Internet of Things to nanometer-scaled transistors, electrical and computer engineering is at the forefront of the technological revolution. At its core, electrical and computer engineering (ECE) employs principles of physics, mathematics, and computer science to engineer solutions that could change the world. The electrical and computer engineering department offers two undergraduate degree programs accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET: the bachelor of science in computer engineering (BS-CSEng) and the bachelor of science in electrical engineering (BS-EE). Graduates of the electrical and computer engineering programs at UMass Amherst have gone on to work for Amazon, Apple, BAE, and Google, among others.
