The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) offers a five-year program through which students can earn a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering combined with a master of science degree in electrical and computer engineering. The BS and MS degrees offered through this program are identical to the individual BS and MS degrees offered by the ECE department.

The five-year program provides students with the opportunity to obtain these degrees in less time than would be required when pursuing them independently. In addition, the five-year program offers a simplified process for admission to the Graduate School.
