The graduate certificate in computer systems security is an ideal certificate program for you if you want to understand state-of-the-art techniques in securing computer systems. The program is designed for current students working towards a master's in electrical and computer engineering (ECE) as well as non-matriculating students with a sufficient technical background.

You'll take five courses towards the certificate, two of which are focused on individual projects. The other three are electives you'll choose from a range of options.

Through your work towards the certificate in computer networking, you'll learn how to protect computer systems against security weaknesses. These weaknesses include software attacks on computer systems, hardware reverse engineering, attacks on networking hardware, among others. You'll also receive a solid mathematical foundation on the nature of attacks and evaluate cryptographic techniques to prevent them.
