4+1 Master of Science in Physics

The Department of Physics offers a five-year program through which students can earn a bachelor of science degree in physics combined with a master of science degree in physics. The BS and MS degrees offered through this program are identical to the individual BS and MS degrees offered by the Physics department.

The five-year program provides students with the opportunity to obtain these degrees in less time than would be required when pursuing them independently. In addition, the five-year program offers a simplified process for admission to the Graduate School.
