Sustainability is one of the defining challenges of this generation, and UMass Amherst will rise to meet it. Our commitment to sustainability is woven into the fabric of our university’s mission and culture. Sustainability encompasses not just environmental issues but social and economic well-being, and the financial stewardship that ensures our long-term ability to serve the common good. We are not simply participants in the sustainability movement; we are leaders, setting an example that will resonate far beyond our campus boundaries.
