Graduate Student Service Center

The Graduate Student Service Center (GSSC) serves as the front counter of the Graduate School, assisting with many general requests. The GSSC is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST, every Monday through Friday (with the exception of university holidays), located in Goodell room 520.

GSSC’s team can support you in:

  • Checking in on the status of your admissions application.
  • Obtaining copies of your academic transcripts and/or your diploma.
  • Managing requests such as program changes, leaves of absence, or withdrawals.
  • Verifying your eligibility to graduate and to walk during Commencement events

Admissions

Are you curious about your current application status? While your academic program manages the majority of admissions, you can gradadm [at] grad [dot] umass [dot] edu (contact our team) with any concerns or questions.

Records

Looking for copies of your transcripts? Need to replace a copy of your diploma? The Graduate Records team assists with securing and sharing your academic records. This team can also assist with program change requests, and transfer credit policies. gradrec [at] grad [dot] umass [dot] edu (Contact our team) to get connected!

Degree Requirements

The Degree Requirements team can assist you in verifying that you have met all of the requirements and deadlines necessary to complete your master’s or doctoral degree. This team is often contacted during the beginning and end of the semester as students inquire about their eligibility to walk during Commencement.
