International Women's Fellowship Writing Group

Did you know there are multiple external fellowships open to international graduate students who identify as female? Our six-part writing group will introduce these opportunities and help you craft competitive applications, all while working in community with other graduate students. Four students who participated in this writing group last year received one of these fellowships, collectively earning $60,000 in external funding! This writing group offers a space for international, female-identifying doctoral students in campus-based graduate degree programs to advance your fellowship application drafts and cultivate your unique voice.

Boren Fellowship Info Session

A Boren Fellowship provides financial support for U.S. citizens to conduct research and study less-commonly taught languages in Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. At this info session, a Boren Awards representative will discuss fellowship eligibility, outline application components, and answer questions from attendees. This event is co-sponsored by the Office of National Scholarship Advisement (ONSA).

Graduate School Predissertation & Fieldwork Grants: Info Session

The Graduate School offers two research grants open to doctoral students: Predissertation Grants, for those in the dissertation research development stage, and Fieldwork Grants, for those planning dissertation research that will take place outside the Western Massachusetts Geographic area. This Info Session will provide an overview of each opportunity and outline what makes an application competitive.
