Fulbright U.S. Student Program Info Session

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides financial support for graduate students to conduct research or teach English abroad, with awards available in partnership with more than 140 countries worldwide. U.S. citizens in all disciplines are eligible to apply! The Graduate School provides extensive support for current graduate students to help you prepare your application. This info session will outline the application process and application support--come learn how a Fulbright award can advance your research or professional goals while providing an engaging experience abroad!

A critical component of any funding application is communicating the contributions of your work. In this session, we will outline how to recognize what your funder values and discuss strategies to communicate the significance of your work to diverse funding audiences in any type of funding proposal.
Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Innovation Fellowship: Info Session

The Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Innovation Fellowship aims to support students in the dissertation research development stage, before they have done much writing. Awards will be made to doctoral students in the humanities and social sciences to conduct research that will take their field in an exciting new direction. NSF Graduate Research Fellowship: Info Session

Eligible domestic students in STEM and social science programs should apply for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship! The fall 2025 application cycle is open to undergraduates who plan to enroll in a graduate program in Fall 2026 and those in their first or second year of graduate school at the time of application. This prestigious NSF fellowship provides three years of support for graduate school and UMass has a high rate of success for our applicants! This session will provide tips for crafting compelling application essays, offer insight on what reviewers look for, and outline resources to help you develop your application. Students should verify their eligibility to apply for the fellowship on the NSF GRFP website.
