Sebastian Moreno, a PhD Student in Environmental Conservation, has been awarded the Switzer Environmental Fellowship, a one-year fellowship for graduate students from academic and personal backgrounds in New England and California. The students selected for this fellowship’s career goals focus on environmental improvement and problem-solving.
Moreno’s research surrounds the intersectionality between humans and wildlife in urban environments. He works to improve the community science experience and remove barriers that prevent underrepresented individuals from participating in such programs. Morena has previously worked as the president of the ECo Grad Council (EGC), the official Graduate Student Organization (GSO) for the ECo department.
