Mentoring Up: Working Effectively with Your Faculty Research Advisor
Content
If you are in a research-based graduate program, you work closely with a faculty advisor to plan, conduct, and communicate your research. Challenges can arise if your expectations and those of your research advisor aren’t aligned. This interactive session will focus on steps you can take to establish and maintain a productive relationship with your faculty research advisor.
Note: We offered a version of this workshop (called Managing Your Mentoring Relationships) in the afternoon sessions at the WUGS orientation for new grad students on 8/29, so if you attended one of those sessions, no need to sign up for this one.
