PhD in Nursing
The UMass Amherst PhD in nursing program prepares nurse researchers, scholars, and educators who will use their advanced nursing knowledge to improve nursing practices, address complex health problems, and provide leadership in nursing research and education.
As a nursing PhD student, you will enhance your previous nursing education and experience through rigorous courses in nursing, theory, research methods, statistics, and more. You will also complete a mentored research experience, a comprehensive examination, and a dissertation.
