Through the MS/PhD in mathematics, you’ll combine courses in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics taught by expert faculty in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics to give you a broad, comprehensive foundation. You’ll be funded as a teaching assistant, and you can work side-by-side with your professors in research areas such as algebraic geometry, discrete mathematics, probability, and more. You’ll also have many chances to get involved outside of the classroom through seminars and colloquia on the latest research and teacher training, as well as by running the Math Club for undergraduate students.
