Native American Studies

Available to current UMass Amherst graduate students, the graduate certificate in Native American and Indigenous studies blends academic and indigenous knowledge to help you learn about the histories, cultures, and historical and contemporary issues affecting Indigenous peoples of the Americas and beyond. Through this interdisciplinary program, you’ll engage in academic collaborations and research issues vital to Indigenous communities, enabling you to position yourself as a leader in research, development, and policy analysis in the local, national, and international realm.
