The MS program provides students with a strong quantitative basis for understanding statistical methods, focusing on applications in epidemiology, biology, genomics, public health, and health sciences. MS applicants have career interests in biostatistics and public health, and are accepted with backgrounds in the quantitative sciences and associated fields.

The MS program includes between 30 to 45 credits of coursework, and students complete either a six-credit thesis or a qualifying exam. Students generally finish the MS degree program in two to four semesters.
