Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering
UMass Amherst’s MS in Biomedical Engineering builds research and technical depth in diagnostics, therapeutics, and medical device design. Students in this program may choose either the Professional Track MS with a wide selection of coursework in five different research areas, or the Thesis Track MS to conduct research with a BME faculty member.
Students receive close faculty mentorship and may also choose to complete an independent study in BME or a related field.
The UMass Amherst flagship campus places students among the biotech and healthcare clusters of New England with tremendous opportunity for off-campus internships.
