The doctor of philosophy in management prepares you to become a scholar capable of teaching and conducting research related to the management of organizations by helping you build competence in the foundation areas of research methodology (including statistics) and economics or behavioral sciences. You’ll choose a major area of concentration—accounting, finance, hospitality and tourism management, management science, marketing, or sport management—and an allied minor concentration to hone your studies to your unique interests. You’ll gain the hands-on experience you need by designing, executing, and completing a significant research project, as well as teaching in your area of interest.
