Open to students enrolled in any MA or PhD program at UMass Amherst, the graduate certificate in public history enables you to study the many ways history and heritage shape contemporary life. Together with students from across the campus, you’ll engage in interdisciplinary seminars and field service projects as you undertake substantive study of public history theory and practice and cultivate your professional skills and network.
