Our graduates pursue transformative careers

Of students who graduated from the MPA and MPPA programs, 93% were employed within 6 months of graduation with employers including United Nations Development Programme, National Academy of Public Administration, Econometrica, Inc., Eversource, and the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.

Of students who graduated from the DACSS program, 76% found a new position or continued with a current employer. Additionally 8% were accepted into graduate programs (primarily PhD and MPA) at Harvard, Berkeley, Princeton, Chicago, Columbia, and LSE. Alumni have also gone on to work for a range of private sector and non-profit organizations: a tech startup in San Francisco, the Kaiser Family Foundation, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Facebook, and multiple research and consulting firms.

Our first cohort of public policy undergraduate majors will graduate in spring 2025. Already, 86% of those students have had held meaningful roles in the community: interning, volunteering, researching, and leading. They are poised to find roles in public policy and beyond. Students held roles with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Northampton Community Center, Baystate Hospital, the Office of the MA Secretary of Education, Hologic, MA Senator Ed Markey, and more.

Our students find meaningful internships

For the MPA and MPPA programs, internships are core to learning, which is why they are required. Our undergraduate and DACSS students are also supported and strongly encouraged to gain hands on experience.
