Research

My research primarily focuses on the impact of raising a child with an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD) on parent and family well-being, as well as the impact of family processes on the social, emotional, and behavioral development of individuals with IDD over the life course. I am also interested in how people - including parents, students and community members - make meaning of disability (e.g., disability paradigms).
