Cost and Financial Aid

Please see the UMass Amherst Office of the Bursar website for information about undergraduate tuition and fees. 

Note that there is a $1000 per semester nursing program fee for four-year nursing majors. 

In addition to tuition, fees, living expenses, and other normal student expenses (laptop, books, etc.), UMass Nursing students are responsible for the following expenses:

  • Massachusetts fingerprinting for placement in public schools
  • Nursing shoes
  • Stethoscope
  • Watch

Uniforms are provided by the program.

Students must provide their own transportation to clinical agencies. Carpooling is highly encouraged and it is required at some clinical sites.

Fees are subject to change. Every effort is made to keep costs as low as feasible.
