Cancellations or postponements of Department events (including recitals)
As a rule, If the University closes due to weather or other circumstance, all department events and recitals are cancelled. You can check whether campus is closed at www.umass.edu/closing or by signing up for the University’s Text Alert system at UMass Emergency Alerts : Emergency Management : UMass Amherst

Building Closure
When the University is closed due to inclement weather, the Bromery Center for the Arts is closed. Students will not be allowed into the building to retrieve their instruments, use practice rooms or borrow equipment. If inclement weather is expected and you will need your instrument or other personal belongings, please take them with you prior to the impending storm. Propping doors open is not allowed at any time.
