Juniper's programs are unmatched in their variety, caliber, and initiation of wild invention. Designed with young writers in mind, each writing lab and craft session aims to meet each young writer where they’re at, while also encouraging them to take risks and try new methods of writing. Whether they’re working on a novel, a poem collection, or a series of short stories, Juniper offers mentors trained to help them, and sessions designed to inspire them. Our Creative Writing Instructors are professional teachers, published authors, and graduate students pursuing their PhD or Master of Fine Arts degrees in creative writing at UMass Amherst, among the oldest and most respected MFA programs in the country.

Since 2006, Juniper has been developing and sharing our curriculum that offers inspiration and mentorship to young writers, as well as a full immersion in a “writer’s life” experience that empowers them to sustain their creative work and succeed in college and beyond.
