The Awesome Foundation Grant
Each fully autonomous chapter supports awesome projects through micro-grants, usually given out monthly. These micro-grants, $1000 or the local equivalent, come out of pockets of the chapter's "trustees" and are given on a no-strings-attached basis to people and groups working on awesome projects.
Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity - Residencies
Banff Centre is a post-secondary institution providing educational programs across leadership, mountain culture and artistic disciplines. Indigenous Leadership programs provide the knowledge and skills to build communities and lead organizations. Thematic residencies focus on artistic research and project development based on a specific theme. Self-directed residencies allow artists to focus on their practice in a supportive environment.
Biz-M-Power - Matching Grant Program
The Biz-M-Power crowdfunding matching grant program offers small businesses in Massachusetts financial assistance with their acquisition, expansion, improvement or lease of a facility, purchase or capital lease of equipment, or with meeting other capital needs for the business.
The Blues Foundation HART Fund - for Blues musicians
The Blues Foundation established the HART Fund (Handy Artists Relief Trust) for Blues musicians and their families in financial need due to a broad range of health concerns.
Boston Ballet - Costume Crafts Artisan
The Costume Crafts Artisan will assist with construction of costume crafts, including, but not limited to headpieces, jewelry, shoes, fabric dyeing and painting. Boston Symphony Orchestra - Artist Liaison
Manage all administrative and organizational logistics for the Music Director, all guest soloists and conductors, assistant conductors, artists’ managers, and composers at Symphony Hall and at Tanglewood. Develop and manage seasonal budgets for artists travel, accommodation, and social events. Secure cost-effective travel and accommodation for artists and help seek sponsorship for this. Coordinate and process all payments and reimbursements for artists and any additional BSO guests, ensuring that all tax requirements are observed. Obtain and circulate rehearsal orders and other performance-related details from Music Director, guest conductors, soloists, and corresponding BSO departments. Brooks and Joan Fortune Family Foundation - Grants
The Brooks and Joan Fortune Foundation (BJFF) primarily provides funds to support education, art, and outreach programs and projects. In general, the foundation desires to support specific activities that result in a defined outcome rather than general operating funds or fundraising campaigns. Funding requests between $1,000 and $10,000 will receive greater consideration. While the foundation activities have historically been located in Indiana and Florida, requests from around the country will certainly be considered. All recipients must have a 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS.

Deerfield Academy - Arts Camp Counselor
Counselors teach a wide range of disciplines, which are listed on the camp’s website. All staff members work and reside together as a cohort for the entirety of the five-week summer program, often working on collaborative projects with fellow staff. All staff members report to the DASAC Administrative Director, who oversees the program.
Digitizing Hidden Collections: Amplifying Unheard Voices
This is a national grant competition administered by the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) inviting proposals to digitize materials that deepen public understanding of the histories of people of color and other communities and populations whose work, experiences, and perspectives have been insufficiently recognized or unattended.
The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation - Artist Funding
The Foundation will only fund young artists who are pursuing their studies or are in the early stages of their career, are working in a representational style of painting, drawing, sculpture, or printmaking, and demonstrate the determination and talent to pursue a lifetime career in their art practice. The Foundation does not provide funding for the pursuit of abstract or non-objective art.
emBrace Pattern Design Competition
A nationwide competition intended to encourage artists to design fashionable prints and patterns for scoliosis braces that appeal to everyone. emBrace honors aesthetically powerful graphic designs by artists across the country and partners with orthopedic companies to transfer them onto the surface of back braces.
Emergency Survival Fund for LGBTQ2S artists, performers & tip-based workers
This is a fund to help LGBTQ2S people who cannot pay for food, medicine, rent, and necessities because most of their income doesn't come from an employer. Grants based on need and available funds. Rolling until expended.
Eyebeam Center for the Future of Journalism - Grants
Supports a variety of work, including: text, photography, audio and video. Artists and artist-journalist teams with longer-term, research-intensive projects are also encouraged to apply. Application deadline: rolling.
Factory on Willow - Artist in Residence Program
A 12-week non profit program designed to bring new emerging and amateur artists from around the world to Manchester, NH. Our program fosters an environment that allows creative freedom to explore, define, and polish your working portfolio.

Fully Funded Residencies is an online platform for research and knowledge-sharing that gathers, archives and shares fully funded residencies, awards, grants and mobility funds.
Foundation for Contemporary Arts - Emergency Grant
Provide urgent funding for visual and performing artists who: have sudden, unanticipated opportunities to present their work to the public when there is insufficient time to seek other sources of funding, incur unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates. Grants range in amount from $500 to $3,000, and the average grant is now $1,700. Application deadline is rolling.
Fund for Investigative Journalism
The Fund for Investigative Journalism provides grants and other support to independent journalists and news organizations to produce high-quality, unbiased, nonpartisan investigative stories that have an impact.
Greater Worcester Community Foundation Grants
Cultural organizations within the town of Worcester, MA may apply to this grant. Award amount can range from $500 to $5,000.
Headlands Center for the Arts - Artist in Residence
The Artist in Residence (AIR) program awards fully sponsored residencies to approximately 50 local, national, and international artists each year. Residencies of four to ten weeks include studio space, chef-prepared meals, housing, travel and living expenses.
The Hopper Prize - Grants for Artists
The Hopper Prize is a grant-making institution and digital archiving platform offering a series of individual artist grants on a bi-annual basis totaling $22,000.00 US, providing unrestricted cash grants in the amount of $3,500 and $1,000 to artists around the globe.
International Arts Movement: Hilary Teachout Grants
Hilary Teachout Grants offer artists relief during the coronavirus pandemic. Named the Hilary Teachout Grants, they honor the memory of the wife of theatre critic Terry Teachout; she passed away during the COVID-19 crisis due to an illness that required a double lung transplant. One-time grants of $500 are provided.
Independent Journalism Grant
The Economic Hardship Reporting Project is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that produces journalism to raise awareness about income inequality and economic unfairness in America. They commission op-eds, personal essays, investigative reports, rich narrative features, podcasts, nonfiction cartoons, photo essays, and documentaries about the United States. Grants generally range from $500 for an op-ed to $10,000 for a documentary.
Innovate Artist Grants
Innovate Grant awards (2) $1,800.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition, (6) honorable mentions (3 in art and 3 in photo), will be featured on our website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists. Innovate Grant’s commitment extends beyond the grant cycle by promoting the work of selected winners and honorable mentions into the future.
International Women's Media Foundation - United States Journalism Emergency Fund
This fund will directly support U.S. journalists in need so they can resume work essential to our functioning democracy. Made available to U.S. based journalists regardless of gender. Applicants must be U.S. journalists with journalism serving as their primary profession and must provide proof of their financial need. Funding is available to both staff journalists and those working independently.
Jazz Foundation Musicians Emergency Fund
The Jazz Foundation’s Musicians’ Emergency Fund provides housing assistance, pro bono medical care, disaster relief, and direct financial support in times of crisis.
The Learned Fangirl Freelance Emergency Fund
The Learned Fangirl has created the TLF Freelance Emergency Fund to support freelance culture writers who have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.
Leveler: Peer to Peer Wealth Distribution

LMCC - Manhattan Arts Grants

Mass Cultural Council - Local Cultural Council Program
Mass Cultural Council funds and manages a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) across the state, representing every city and town in the Commonwealth. MASS MoCA's Assets for Artists - University Fellowship
The Studios at MASS MoCA will offer multiple full fellowships that do not have geographic or demographic limitations. This means that anyone who wishes to can apply for one of these fellowships, regardless of discipline or location. The fellowship funds all residency fees for up to four weeks in residence. To apply, simply select the appropriate box on the fellowships question of the general Studios residency application. Deadline: Nov. 8, 2024.
Max’s Kansas City Project
The Max’s Kansas City Project provides emergency funding & resources to professionals in the creative arts. Individuals who have made their living through their art form either professionally or personally and demonstrate a financial need for medical aid, legal aid or housing.
Millay Arts Multidisciplinary Artist Core Residencies
From April through November, Millay Arts hosts 6-7 multidisciplinary artists, selected through a blind jury process.
Music and Youth Initiative - Music Clubhouse Assistant
Under the direction of the Music Clubhouse Director, the Music Clubhouse Assistant works closely with youth participants (primarily teenagers) in shaping their involvement, exploration and self-education at the Music Clubhouse. During Open Studio time, the Assistant provides a welcoming environment to all the participants who visit the Music Clubhouse, answering their questions, problem-solving and providing general support. The Music Clubhouse Assistant is critical to the Clubhouse’s mission of building youth confidence through the development of relationships, skills, knowledge and abilities—all through the exploration and expression of music.

Muskegon Art Museum - The Bennett Prize for Women Figurative Realist Painters
The Bennett Prize, administered by The Pittsburgh Foundation, is awarded biennially and provides $25,000 annually over two consecutive years to the winning artist ($50,000 total). Deadline: October 4, 2024.
Mystic Seaport Museum - New England Black and Indigenous Maritime Histories Summer Internship
Mystic Seaport Museum is seeking applicants for the 2024 New England Black and Indigenous Maritime Histories Summer Internship. This interdisciplinary internship engages with BIPOC (Black and Indigenous People of Color) maritime histories and contemporary communities through academic exploration and hands-on practice in public engagement, curation, and community conversations. The program benefits students with interest in museum careers as well as students who aspire to positions of leadership in community and responsibility in other fields such as education, business, government, and more.
National Endowment for the Arts - Our Town Grant

New Hampshire State Council on the Arts - Artist Entrepreneurial Grants
Artist Entrepreneurial Grants recognize the importance of the creative workforce to New Hampshire’s economy. Artist Entrepreneurial Grants support opportunities that will benefit artists’ careers, including the development of business skills, participation in programs to raise the level and quality of their art, and participation in programs that will bring their art to the widest possible markets. Quarterly Deadlines: November 1, 2024 and February 7, 2025.
Newport Festivals Musician Relief Fund
Musicians that have lost income from a canceled gig/performance due to the pandemic may apply to this grant. Priority will be given to musicians who played the Newport Jazz or Folk Festivals and those in the Rhode Island community.
New Salem Museum of Art - International Painting Competition
The NSMA Painting Competition is a celebration of artistic excellence, inviting global artists to showcase the finest in contemporary realist painting. The winning artist will be awarded $25,000 and the painting will be displayed in the rotating permanent collection at the New Salem Museum and Academy of Fine Art. Deadline: January 15, 2025.

The Theater Offensive’s QTPOC Artists and Youth Relief Fund 2.0
TTO has established a fund of $10,000 to provide temporary financial assistance to Greater Boston's QTPOC performing artists and youth affected by the pandemic. A limited number of $250 grants while resources last. Applications reviewed biweekly.
Thespian Relief Grant
The Thespian Relief grants program offers two types of grants to help school theatre programs: $500 grants for schools towards troupe dues. $1000 grants to assist school theatre programs that have been negatively impacted by the cancellation of events or loss of projected revenue, and help with any other issues related to getting a program up and running again this school year.
