If you are interested in applying for a second bachelor’s degree at UMass Amherst, please submit the Second Bachelor’s Degree Application. Applications are submitted to the major department for their review. The major department will communicate admissions decisions directly to the student, as well as to the University Registrar’s Office for any processing needs.
Graduates of UMass Amherst who wish to earn a second bachelor’s degree at UMass Amherst must complete a minimum of 30 additional credits, all of which must be in residence. Graduates of other institutions who wish to earn a second bachelor’s degree at UMass Amherst must complete a minimum of 45 credits in residence at the Amherst campus.
Please note, some UMass Amherst majors are not available to post-graduate second bachelor's degree students. If the major you are interested is not available on the application, please contact the appropriate academic department to determine availability.
