Event & Stadium Parking

Parking during major events differs from everyday campus parking. Signage and traffic controllers are available during these special events including commencement and athletic games. Please visit the links below for updates. 

 

In the Fall of 2026 UMass will host six football home games at McGuirk Stadium. Permit holders in southwest lots of Yellow Lot 11, Purple Lot 22, and Green Lot 33 will need to relocate their vehicles prior to game days. In advance of each game, Parking Services will email lot closure information and alternate parking options.

9/12/26 Football Relocation Parking Info

The first home football game of the season takes place this Saturday, 9/12/26, at McGuirk Stadium.

If you are a permit holder in Lots 11, 22, or 33, you must relocate your vehicle to avoid ticketing and towing.

All vehicles must be out of Lots 11, 22, & 33 by Friday, 9/11/26 before 11:00 PM

Approved Alternative Parking Lots available after 3:00pm Friday. 9/11/26

  • Blue Lot: 46
  • Green Lots: 25, 34
  • Yellow Lots: 12, 13
  • Purple Lots: 28, 44, 49
  • Note: Vehicles may relocate to Lot 12 anytime on Friday 9/11/26

Vehicles must return to their assigned permitted lot by end of day Sunday, 9/13/26

Parking Alerts and Notifications 

UMass employees and students may sign up for SMS or email alerts about lot closures, shuttle availability, weather-related changes, and high-demand events including Move In and Move Out. Log into the Parking Portal with your Net ID. Click your name (top right). Select "Manage your account information." On the bottom of that page, check Opt In.
