Since 2019, the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing has offered unique, built-in opportunities for our undergraduates to study abroad while also staying on track in their nursing program here at home.
Elevating public health nursing across the state
The Elaine Marieb College of Nursing, in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), has launched the Local Public Health Nurse Consultant Program to support local public health nurses and their health departments in each of Massachusetts’ 351 cities and towns.

The baccalaureate degree program is fully approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. The University of Massachusetts Amherst is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (formerly the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education) of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
