The University of Massachusetts Amherst celebrated former UMass Trustee and Springfield Urban League President Henry M. Thomas III on Tuesday Oct. 15 by officially unveiling the university’s location in Tower Square as the UMass Amherst Henry M. Thomas III Center at Springfield.

A space created with students' needs in mind
A 26,000-square foot space in the heart of Springfield, the Henry M. Thomas III Center has the ability to hold 900 students, faculty, and staff. It has classrooms equipped for both on-site and distance learning, small-group meeting spaces, executive boardrooms, laboratories, lounge spaces, and more.
