Lidia Marques Pons

Lidia Marques holds an M.A. in Linguistics and in Teaching Catalan Language from the Universitat de Barcelona in Spain. She has taught Spanish and Catalan for several years in Spain and Germany. In the preceding academic year, she joined the Spanish and Portuguese Department at University of Massachusetts Amherst as a Catalan lecturer thanks to the Institut Ramon Llull in Catalonia in collaboration with UMass Amherst. In 2025 she received a FLAS Fellowship to work as a Catalan instructor at the University of Texas at Austin during the summer semester.
