Below is the confirmed registration schedule for ramping students onto the system by seniority.

Enrollment Appointment Assignment Process

Enrollment appointment times are determined by a student’s projected academic level (i.e., Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior) for the term that they will be registering for. Projected academic level is based strictly on credits – the credits a student is CURRENTLY enrolled in (as of the date our office runs the appointment assignment process), as well as the credits they have already earned through previous UMass enrollment and transfer credit. Projected academic level is not based on any of the following: original admit term, expected graduation term, or total semesters completed at UMass Amherst.

Enrollment appointment times will be assigned randomly to students within each academic level – students with higher credit totals do not automatically receive earlier enrollment appointments. Once they have been assigned, enrollment appointments can be viewed in SPIRE by clicking on the Manage Classes tile and selecting the Enrollment Appointments option under the Enrollment Appointments section.

Important: The University Registrar’s Office does not modify enrollment appointment times once they have been assigned to students’ records. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that their record is accurate and up to date prior to our office determining projected academic levels and assigning enrollment appointment times.
