Our Industry Partnership Program creates opportunities for industry leaders to form long-term relationships with the UMass Offshore Wind Professional Certificate and its growing national network of students, alumni, educators, and industry leaders.
We're a Leader in Offshore Wind Professional Education and Training
The UMass Offshore Wind Professional Certificate was established in 2020 as an early leader in graduate-level offshore wind training and education. The program has established a track record of success with more than 200 students and graduates to date. Certificate graduates are now in leadership positions across the industry within organizations like Vineyard Wind, Equinor, RWE, SouthCoast Wind, Avangrid, Siemens-Gamesa, Vestas, GE, Wood Thilsted, DNV, WSP, VHB, and within federal, state, and local government offices.
Support Our Career Access Scholarship
Our Career Access Scholarship provides a pathway for our industry partners to meet their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals. Your support will help us expand our mission to support students from diverse backgrounds with financial need with the expertise to succeed in the certificate program and in careers in offshore wind. To date, our scholarship program has supported over 30 students.

UMass Is a National Leader in Offshore Wind
The Offshore Wind Professional Certificate is proud to be a partner of the Academic Center for Reliability and Resilience of Offshore Wind (ARROW), selected as a national center of excellence in research, education, and workforce development by the U.S. Department of Energy. ARROW is funded by the U.S. DOE and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.
ARROW is led by the UMass Amherst Wind Energy Center and is a collaboration with seven other research universities and three national laboratories.
The Offshore Wind Professional Certificate program is also proud to be a partner with the School of Earth & Sustainability which provides a breadth of sustainability research and education across the UMass campus.
