PhD candidate Lindsay DuBois, MSN, BSN, RN, CHSE, defends her dissertation, "Supporting Best Practice Standards in Clinical Simulation Through Community Collaboration: An Exploration of Impacts on Nursing Student Clinical Competency."

DuBois is a two-time award-winning researcher and full-time clinical instructor at the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing (EMCON). Her clinical background and expertise in higher education and clinical simulation informs best practices in teaching undergraduate nursing students. Her dissertation study included collaborations with EMCON clinical faculty, Transhealth, and community-engaged feedback to support clinical judgment and improved awareness of bias on care nurses provide. She is a member of the Leadership Succession Committee with Sigma Theta Tau's International Honor Society for Nursing, Beta Zeta at-Large Chapter, and has presented this work locally, regionally and internationally.
