Online Graduate Certificate in Caring for People with Substance Use Disorder
Build upon foundational knowledge, on your schedule.
This program is currently on hold and not accepting applications.
This brand new certificate program aims to build upon the foundational knowledge provided to entry-level Registered Nurses and Advance Practice Registered Nurses. The blueprint for the Certified Addiction Registered Nurses (CARN) and Certified Addiction Registered Nurse- Advance Practice (CARN-AP) exams were used to develop this certificate program. Each 3-credit course will count for 15 credits, and the one-credit course will count for five credits towards the 30 credits (for CARN) and 80 credits (for CARN-AP) requirement for applying to the CARN or CARN-AP exam. Hours in the one-credit course may be applied toward the minimum of 2000 practice hours required to take the CARN and CARN-AP exams as long as practice hours are within the previous three years.
