Master of Science in Nursing Program Goals

In alignment with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation standards and the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing's (EMCON) commitment to excellence, the Master of Science program prepares graduates to advance nursing practice, leadership, and scholarship through the following goals:  

1. Integrate Advanced and Evidence-Based Knowledge  
   Graduates apply theoretical and scientific principles to deliver evidence-based care, promote innovation, and improve health outcomes. 
2. Demonstrate Leadership and Professional Accountability  
   Graduates use leadership, systems thinking, and ethical decision-making to enhance quality, safety, and organizational performance. 
3. Promote Health Equity and Population Health  
   Graduates advocate for equitable, culturally responsive care and design interventions that address social determinants of health and reduce disparities. 
4. Engage in Collaboration and Lifelong Learning  
   Graduates collaborate across disciplines, contribute to education and scholarship, and pursue ongoing professional growth to advance nursing practice.
