COURSE INFORMATION
Students at UMass can pursue a major discipline of their choice and complement that study with the IT Minor. In addition to a course that provides a foundational understanding of information technology, the curriculum includes courses on technical skill-building with basic information technologies (technical courses), courses that focus on specific technologies and the application of IT in particular disciplines (electives), and courses that examine IT in a broader context (broadened inquiry).
"Through the IT Minor program, I dove into data analytics, learning to use analytical tools to uncover patterns and insights that can drive business decisions. The IT minor gave me more than just technical skills—it taught me how to approach challenges with curiosity and a sharp, analytical mindset."
