Celebrating Women's History Month

This month marks Women’s History Month, which includes International Women’s Day on March 8. Both celebrations honor the contributions of women, girls, and femmes in the United States and around the world while also advocating for freedom, rights, and justice for us all.

Learn:

  • About reproductive health, justice, and rights through Collective Power, an Amherst‑based organization building leadership and political power to protect and advance reproductive healthcare.
  • The history of women’s experiences at UMass Amherst through the history of the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program.
  • To connect with the Center for Women and Community at UMass.

Resources:

  • For questions or concerns related to immigration and international travel, please reach out to the UMass Office of Global Affairs.
  • For guidance related to student legal matters, please refer to Student Legal Services.
  • For information on federal actions, please refer to the UMass Federal Actions webpage.
  • Students can seek emotional and psychological support through the UMass Center for Counseling and Psychological Health, while staff and faculty can make use of the Employee Counseling and Consultation Office.
  • All members of the UMass community may access food‑security resources through the food‑security partnership with Amherst Survival Center.

Upcoming Events

March 2–6 marks the fifth annual UMass Digital Equity and Inclusion Week. Be sure to also check out the UMass Office of Equity and Inclusion events page  and the UMass Events Calendar for offerings this month.
