This course consists of rotations in the Community Clinic on the Mount Ida Campus of UMass Amherst. The Community Clinic provides basic veterinary care for economically disadvantaged pet-owners and other under-served populations in Massachusetts. This experiential service-learning course provide students who have completed the pertinent preparatory clinical coursework with practical exam room experience prior to the onset of their senior year internship rotations.
Eligibility
Open to BS-VET-TECH students.
Notes
The class meets for two hours of lab per week, plus additional work in the kennel which will require students to be on campus for four days per week.
