Peltier is professor of environmental health sciences and head of the Aerosol Lab at UMass Amherst, which investigates the chemical components of ambient particulate matter that have a significant effect on human health.

Honors and Awards

Moore, an assistant professor of food science known for his work in food safety microbiology and food-borne viruses, has received the Outstanding Young Scientist Award from the Institute of Food Technologists.

Research

Researchers at UMass Amherst have found that Indigenous populations bear the environmental and public health costs when native Indonesian forests are converted to oil palm plantations.
