They say that every encounter in life is an opportunity to learn something new and when I came here to the US in 2019, my dreams were all over the place, of either pursuing my career in nutrition and dietetics through reciprocity or, venture into a new field or a high paying job. But then my realization of becoming “Nurse Lovie” came when I took care of my mother in-law who was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I have never been so emotionally excited and drained at the same time but I found JOY while nursing her and that night, I chose to be a NURSE.
