What inspired me to become a nurse?
When I was a kid, my mom was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma and as a result I spent a lot of time in hospitals throughout my childhood. Having so much exposure to hospitals allowed me to observe and admire the compassion and selflessness of the nurses who were instrumental in my mom’s journey. Nevertheless, I was inspired to pursue a career in which I would be able to use my strengths to positively impact the lives of others, just as my mom’s nurses did for her.
