About

This study explores how hospital health tech can better serve patients with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, using 10 years of Medicare data across the COVID-19 era.

The overall objective of the study is to understand how to design and use hospital-based health information technology (HIT) systems to improve care and meet heterogeneous preferences of patients with ADRD and improve patient care during the pandemic. The central hypothesis is that hospital-HIT can improve the quality of care and reduce cost through integration with patients, health care, and communities. Study will use ten years of longitudinal data sets of Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries before, during, and after the COVID-19 period.
