About
Gina Grabowski, MSN, RN, CHSE, is faculty and director of the nursing simulation lab at the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing. A proud alumna of UMass, she earned her bachelor of science in nursing there. She holds a master of science with a specialty in nursing education from Sacred Heart University and is currently completing her PhD in nursing at UMass.
Her research focuses on evaluating the competency and clinical judgment of nursing students using simulation.
Since 2018, Gina has taught in academia, coordinating and teaching courses such as adult medical/surgical nursing, mental health nursing, senior internship, and health and physical assessment, as well as facilitating skills labs and simulations for numerous clinical courses. Her clinical expertise includes more than 20 years as an oncology nurse.
She is deeply dedicated to the simulation lab and highly values the immersive learning experiences it provides for students.
