Dr. Lucinda Canty, Associate Professor and Director of Seedworks Health Equity at the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing, received the 2023 Yale School of Nursing Alumni Association (YSNAA) Distinguished Alumni Award on Sept. 27, 2023. Since it was created in 1973, the YSNAA Distinguished Alumni Award has been bestowed to over 100 alumni, with the earliest recipient having graduated in 1926. Recipients of the YSN Distinguished Alumni Award have demonstrated achievement or distinction in their career, in their contributions to their communities, or to the Yale School of Nursing.  

Dr. Canty received her MSN in Nurse-Midwifery at the Yale University School of Nursing in 1994.
