DNP Awards Recognize Outstanding Contributions by Students

The Elaine Marieb College of Nursing congratulates the 2023 recipients of the following DNP awards:
Ronald Rollon: Leadership Award
This award recognizes a DNP student who has shown exceptional leadership qualities both in their academic and scholarship achievements. Leadership, as a defining quality of this program, has been demonstrated throughout their academic career within the College of Nursing. Ronald shares his inspiring nursing story here.
Mara Clawson: Outstanding Clinical Project Award
This special recognition is given by the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing Faculty to a DNP student who shows exceptional abilities in quality improvement benefitting clients and families, demonstrates confidence and competence in practice, and demonstrates evidence of leadership. The recipient of this award has completed an exceptional DNP clinical project. See Mara's nursing story here.
Christopher Diaz: Diversity and Social Justice Award
This award recognizes the work of a DNP student in the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing who is committed to the health of the ALANA (African American, Latino/a, Asian, or Native American) and LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning) communities, or historically excluded or underserved populations through teaching, outreach and/or scholarship.
