The UMass Local Public Health Nurse Consultant Program is hiring for a Regional Public Health Nursing Professional (Consultant) to provide clinical consultation and mentorship to local Public Health Nurses (PHN)s in our Eastern Region. The overreaching goal of the LPHNC program is to build a stronger public health workforce and work collaboratively to increase access to foundational public health services. In addition, the LPHNC works to facilitate clinical placements and preceptorship for nursing students in the Eastern Massachusetts region, support Local Public Health (LPH) staff in addition to PHNs and work as part of a team to plan and implement the Massachusetts Local Public Health Nurse Training courses. This role involves developing supportive systems for local public health organizations, leading classroom and clinical training, and providing clinical consultation and region-specific training.
